LOS ANGELES — Mayor Eric Garcetti has declared a local State of Emergency in response to the Skirball Fire, which has burned at least 125 acres in Bel Air near the Sepulveda Pass.
The Emergency Declaration the Mayor signed yesterday in response to the Creek Fire is still in effect, as that fire continues to burn and threaten property.
Both Emergency Declarations direct relevant City departments to take all necessary steps to protect life and property in the area affected by the fires. This declarations also request that state and federal assistance be provided to the City quickly.
